NAME: Souma Hatsuharu (Haru)
FANDOM: Fruits Basket (Fubura)
AGE: 16
GENDER: Male

APPEARANCE:
Physical Appearance: Hatsuharu Souma has a very striking appearance. Haru stands tall at about 170.2 cm (5' 7"). He has a slim to muscular build due to martial arts training. Haru’s features are very handsome, and he has a very charming smile. However, most of the time his face is void of emotion or simply calm – as are his deep grey eyes. Haru’s hair is very unique but completely natural, being two-toned black and white. This is due to the zodiac curse placed upon him, wherein he turns into an ox/cow. Haru also has a small tattoo of two intertwining, green snakes that wraps around his left arm.
Dress Style: Haru’s dress is cool to say the least. He can often be spotted wearing fitted pants and tight sleeveless shirts. The color of his garments vary widely from bright orange to pitch black, depending on his mood that day and exactly how much attention he’d like to call to himself. It is also not uncommon to see Haru dressed in jackets or his favorite trench coat and a pair of gloves. His accessories include a variety of necklaces, chokers, and collars – worn alone or layered. He also has three piercings in the lobe of each ear, in which he normally wears small studs.
PERSONALITY: Hatsuharu has a unique personality to say the least. During his childhood, being constantly teased and laughed at for the stupidity of his zodiac animal even by the adults that raised him, Haru developed a split personality. As a result, there are ntwo sides to Haru - Black Haru and White Haru.
White Haru is Hatsuharu’s natural disposition. He is calm, well-mannered, and quiet. His emotions are not easily red through his facial expressions or his body language. He’s agreeable, understanding, compassionate, gentle, and empathetic.
Black Haru, on the other hand, breaks through Hatsuharu’s normally docile self when Haru is annoyed, frustrated, threatened, or under great pressure. Haru becomes brash, arrogant at times, blunt, and even a little perverted. He openly displays his displeasure or anger, normally through acts of violence or forcefulness.
The taunts of his childhood are also not the only things that weigh on Haru’s mind. He has very unusual relationships with Souma Yuki and Souma Rin.
As a child, Haru developed a dislike for Yuki, blaming him for the hassling he received from other because of his zodiac animal - the rat – and its behavior. However, once he spoke with Yuki, he realized that the boy wasn’t his enemy, and Yuki helped to empower him with a little self-esteem and calm his temper. Haru often claims that Yuki is his first love and makes small advances at him, especially while in black form.
His relationship with Rin began smoothly but ended rocky. Haru had fallen in love with Rin, but due to unfortunate circumstances, she left him. Now, she refuses to even speak with him. For Haru, this was a major blow. He lost a wonderful friend and a partner at the same time. He still wonders what he did wrong, but for now – he’ll continue to focus all of his romantic attention upon Yuki.
